Tracy McMenamin - Podiatrist

Tracy McMenamin is a qualified podiatrist with more than 30 years’ experience in the industry.  She completed her podiatric studies at the Central Institute of Technology (CIT) in Wellington, New Zealand.

Before moving to Tasmania in 1988, Tracy plied her trade at a private practice in Melbourne. Since then, she has worked within the public health system, geriatric mental health, and cared for people with disabilities.

For Tracy, podiatry isn’t just work; it’s about the relationships, and being able to see the positive impact good footcare health has on patient’s lives.

“For me, it has always been about the connection with people.  Everyone has a story to tell and I feel humbled that I get to listen, to share and to give back to them as much as they give to me.”

With her wealth of knowledge, Tracy specialises in routine podiatry, diabetic foot care, and aged care.

“I particularly enjoy working with older people,” said Tracy.

“Providing relief from foot discomfort helps my patients to be more comfortable, which in turn assists them to remain mobile as long as possible.

As complex structures of bones, muscles and ligaments which carry us around, our feet are well used daily.  We only get one pair of feet, and they do an amazing job over the years.  If you have trouble looking after your feet yourself or if you have foot pain, then see a podiatrist. It could change your life.”
